FRIENDS,
VOLUNTEERS
&
SPONSORS
Myall
Park Botanic Garden is owned and run as
a community project by MPBG
Ltd, a
non-profit company of volunteers.
We
thank all the generous Volunteers, Friends
and Sponsors for their help.
Many
individuals and groups help us in the Garden. We
welcome your queries, ideas or offers.
Your
visits to our Garden help us with essential maintenance. You can also help by
joining our Friends, coming to our working
bees, or purchasing our merchandise.
Donations to our Gift Fund are tax
deductible and can be either money or gift of goods.

Our
governing body is a board of directors. Together with the caretaker and administrative
assistant they take care of the business of the Garden in all its
facets, applying for grants, organising Open Days and other special
occasions, and many other jobs.
Several
of our directors knew and worked with Dave and Dorothy Gordon in their
lifetime, and carry on work for the Garden with the same motives and
aims. Thousands of hours of voluntary work are gladly given to the
Garden each year, and each year we find more people offering to help us
realise the ideals of our mission statement.

FRIENDS
Friends' subscriptions
help our voluntary organisation to survive, and are used to
preserve, maintain and develop the garden. A
subscription form
appears on our brochure.
Click
here to
view our 2-page brochure. Feel free to print a copy for your
friends.
Donations over $2
made out to our Gift Fund are tax deductible.
We also receive
valuable hands-on help from our Friends in many ways.
Director Peter Reilly organises
a wonderful group of Friends to visit annually during autumn to
spend several days toiling in the garden. This is help that really
makes a visible difference! If you'd like to join in, call Peter on
07 5537 3354. Watch our 'latest
news' page or the
Friends newsletter for details
Various SGAP groups
also assist. (See Qld Society for Growing Australian Plants at
www.sgapqld.org.au
We encourage our
Friends to take responsibility for certain areas of the garden. To
find out more, please
email us.
Friends benefits
include a regular newsletter with botanical and horticultural
information, free entry to the Garden, accommodation discounts,
plus invitations to field days, workshops, art exhibitions and other
